Mission Statement

The 208 Baseball & Softball is a non-profit organization designed to develop youth and high school players to play at the next level. Our main goal for our youth organizations is development. Our main goal for our high school players is to have our players get seen by as many colleges or professional scouts as possible.

208 was built "FOR THE KIDS" that is one of our mottos because we truly care about these players and become a family. We are in this for the long run, and we see a big future for 208 and its players.

Philosophy

Our philosophy is to give our athletes the necessary skills to perform successfully on the field and more importantly in life. To pursue athletic scholarships for those players that have the desire, athletic ability, and academic standing to play at the collegiate or pro level.

Team

Each team will consist of 12-16 players chosen from the tryout process. Depending on the athletes that participate at the tryout.

Practice

Teams will practice 2-3 times a week for 90 minutes to 2 hours during the season. There will be campos throughout the season.

Some age levels will have multiple teams. Team MAY practice together if the coaches believe it in the best interest of the development of all players.

If a player cannot attend practice for any reason, we expect communication to the head coach prior to practice.

Player Selection

Player will be evaluated by coaches and evaluators at the tryout. The evaluation process includes an assessment of individual skills, throwing, fielding, catching, baseball IQ, game concepts, communication skills, and sportsmanship.

Fees

Families are expected to pay monthly club dues by the 5th day of each month. We ask that parents to not give cash to any member of the 208 Baseball
